Pakistan Crush Sri Lanka by 82 Runs to Seal T20 Series 2-0

RAWALPINDI: (Staff Reporter)  – In the second T20 match, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 82 runs, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

In the match played in Rawalpindi, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 215 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Maaz Sadaqat played an innings of 96 runs off 51 balls, featuring 6 fours and 7 sixes. Captain Sahibzada Farhan scored 73 runs off 44 balls, hitting 4 fours and 5 sixes.

Additionally, Fakhar Zaman scored 22 runs and Hasan Nawaz scored 19.

For Sri Lanka, Ishan Malinga, Theekshana, and Dasun Shanaka claimed one wicket each.

Chasing a target of 216 runs, the Sri Lankan team managed to score 133 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs.

For Sri Lanka, Maheesh Theekshana scored 32 runs, Chamindu Wickramasinghe 29, Kamindu Mendis 23, and Sanath Jayasuriya 22.

For Pakistan, Imran Randhawa took 3 wickets and Salman Mirza took 2. Saim Ayub and Abrar Ahmed claimed one wicket each.
