Maaz Sadaqat and Farhan Power Pakistan to Series Victory

Pakistan secured the series with a commanding all-round performance in the second T20 International against Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first after being asked to do so, Pakistan posted an imposing 215 for three in 20 overs, with Maaz Sadaqat delivering a spectacular innings of 96 from 51 balls. His knock included six fours and seven sixes, as he narrowly missed out on his maiden T20I century.

Sahibzada Farhan provided outstanding support, scoring 73 from 44 deliveries with four boundaries and five sixes. The innings marked his second consecutive half-century in the series.

Fakhar Zaman contributed 22 off 17 balls, including four fours, while Hasan Nawaz added late momentum with an unbeaten 19 from just nine deliveries, striking one four and one six.

Chasing a target of 216, Sri Lanka struggled to build partnerships and maintain the required scoring rate. The visitors finished on 133 for seven in their allotted 20 overs, handing Pakistan an 82-run victory.

Sadaqat’s explosive batting and Farhan’s consistent performances proved decisive in Pakistan’s commanding win. Rizwan’s message celebrating the young batter’s progress added a personal touch to the team’s success, highlighting the journey and determination behind a player’s rise to international cricket.
