ISLAMABAD- Pakistan’s Agriculture Sector Poised for Revolution with Expert Training Program in China. Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal expressed optimism on Wednesday about the potential transformation in Pakistan’s agriculture sector following the completion of training for 1,000 experts in China.

“Modernizing agriculture is crucial at this juncture. Enhancing research and education in this field remains a top priority for the government,” he stated during a meeting focused on the training program conducted in China as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.

The meeting also included Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain, along with senior officials from various relevant ministries and departments.

Ahsan Iqbal explained that Pakistan is sending these agricultural experts to China based on the Prime Minister’s directive to receive advanced training and modernize the sector, which was once the backbone of the national economy.

He emphasized that while Pakistan has exceptional resources and talent, it is essential to familiarize experts with cutting-edge technology and techniques to significantly boost crop yields.

Rana Tanveer echoed the government’s dedication to advancing the agricultural sector, underscoring it as a major priority for the Prime Minister. He committed to implementing the latest agricultural practices to achieve higher crop production and modernize outdated harvesting methods.
