Pakistan introduces online Hajj payments through 1LINK network
Hajj 2027 applicants to pay dues from home
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan will allow aspiring pilgrims to pay Hajj dues online for the first time through the country’s 1LINK interbank network as part of efforts to fully digitise Hajj operations.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced on Tuesday that the new facility will eliminate the need for applicants to visit bank branches, making the payment process more convenient for Hajj 2027 pilgrims.
According to the ministry, the online payment system has been introduced on the instructions of the prime minister and will enable applicants to deposit Hajj dues from home through the 1LINK network.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader digital transformation of Hajj services. Registration for Hajj 2027 is already available online and remains mandatory for pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj under either the government scheme or through private tour operators.
The ministry said the online Hajj portal has surpassed 150,000 registrations, describing it as a major milestone achieved in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB).

The digital platform will allow applicants to complete the entire Hajj process online, including registration, payment and application tracking. Overseas Pakistanis will also be able to register and pay Hajj dues from abroad through the system.
Pakistan concluded its Hajj 2026 operations last month and has already begun preparations for Hajj 2027 in line with Saudi Arabia’s advance registration requirements.
