No negotiations with PTI protesters, says Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

The protesters’ aim was to create a situation where casualties would occur, Naqvi said.

ISLAMABAD Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has firmly stated that the government will not engage in negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters, asserting that the situation is clear to everyone. Speaking to the media, Naqvi emphasized that the government’s stance is unequivocal—there will be no talks with the protesters.

“The protesters’ aim was to create a situation where casualties would occur. There is one woman behind all the unrest, and PTI tried to provoke violence in order to create bloodshed,” said Naqvi, referring to the ongoing protests. He reiterated that the government’s position remains steadfast in not negotiating with the protesters.

Naqvi further assured that the government is focused on preventing loss of life while clearing the areas of protesters, in line with the instructions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. “We will ensure that no further lives are lost. The operation will proceed with the goal of clearing the area safely,” he added.

Both ministers highlighted the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order, with clear directives to avoid further escalation of violence and ensure peace across the country.
