New FIR Filed in Lahore Foreign Women Crash Case
Lahore foreign women case takes new turn after crash FIR
Lahore – (Web Desk) – A fresh case has been registered in Lahore linked to the vehicle crash that led to the rescue of two foreign women. Police say the women had been allegedly kidnapped before they escaped near Bhatta Chowk.
The new FIR was filed at Defence Police Station. It names five suspects, including Muhammad Raza Dar, grandson of a senior political figure. The main case involves kidnapping, extortion, and assault of a Spanish and a Dutch national.
This latest complaint is different from the main case. It focuses only on the road accident that happened just before the women were rescued.
The car’s owner, identified as Usman, filed the complaint. He said he was driving from a private housing society toward Bhatta Chowk when another vehicle hit his car on Airport Road. The other car sped off right after the crash.
Usman told police he called the emergency helpline 15 several times before officers reached the spot. The FIR states the crash caused about Rs300,000 in damage.
Police said the two foreign women jumped out of the suspects’ car right after the collision. They ran into a nearby shop and waited there until help arrived.
This case is separate from the bigger investigation. That probe into the alleged kidnapping and assault is still ongoing.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had earlier told officials to handle the main case fairly. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said the women reached Lahore on June 29 and were allegedly kidnapped soon after.
Police used Safe City cameras, phone records, and vehicle data to track down the suspects. Four were arrested on July 2, officials said.
The women recorded their statements before a magistrate. After finishing medical checks and legal steps, they were allowed to leave Pakistan. The main investigation continues.
