Australia vs England T20 Final Result Shows Clear Class Gap
Australia vs England – (Web Desk) – The Australia vs England T20 final result went firmly in Australia’s favour, as the side thrashed the hosts by seven wickets to lift a record seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title.
The final was played in front of a packed crowd at Lord’s on Sunday.
Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield led the chase with a brilliant second-wicket stand of exactly 100 runs.
Australia reached the target of 151 with 17 balls still left to bowl.
This win means Australia have now won all seven world finals they have played against England, across both ODI and T20 formats.
Earlier, England posted 150 for 4 after being reduced to 70 for 4.
Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt and Freya Kemp rescued the innings with an unbeaten stand of 80 runs.
Kim Garth and Lucy Hamilton bowled tightly with the new ball for Australia, picking up key wickets early on.
England, chasing their first big title since 2017, always looked short of a truly competitive total.
Georgia Voll got the chase going with an early boundary before falling cheaply.

Mooney then took charge, timing the ball beautifully through the field on her way to a fifty.
Litchfield matched her with clean hitting, including a big six over extra cover off Charlie Dean.
By the end of the powerplay, Australia were already cruising at 68 for 1.
Dean finally broke the big partnership by bowling Litchfield, but the damage was already done.
Mooney was later given out lbw on review, but Australia were well ahead by then at 140 for 3.
The winning runs came off a wide down the leg side, a fitting end to a one-sided contest.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Amy Jones fell early in England’s innings, putting pressure on the middle order.
Alice Capsey added some quick runs before being bowled attempting a reverse sweep.

Former captain Heather Knight, who shone in the semi-final, could only make two before being trapped lbw.
Kemp’s late hitting, including a six off Sophie Molineux, gave England a fighting total, but it was never enough.
With this win, England also lost their proud record of winning every major tournament they have hosted since 1973.
