Lucknow Coaching Centre Fire Kills 15 Students

Lucknow Coaching Centre Fire Leaves Families in Grief

INDIA LUCKNOW – (Web Desk) – A deadly Lucknow coaching centre fire tore through a three-storey building in the Aliganj area on Monday, killing at least 15 young students and injuring several others.

The fire broke out in the middle floor of the commercial building during the afternoon. It spread fast to other floors, trapping students inside thick smoke and flames.

The building had no fire exit. Firefighters had to drill a hole through a wall of the building next door just to pull trapped students out.

Desperate scenes unfolded outside as multiple students jumped from upper floors onto the street below to save their lives. Witnesses watched in horror as young people leaped from the burning building.

The building housed a coaching centre, a library, an animation centre, and a computer graphics section. Most victims were young people aged between 20 and 28 years.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited the scene. He confirmed the death toll and said stern action would be taken against those found responsible.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also arrived at the site. He later visited King George’s Medical University to meet the injured students and grieving families.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy. His office announced relief money of over Rs 2 lakh for each affected family.

Building fires remain a serious problem across India. Poor wiring, electrical short circuits, and ignored safety rules continue to cost innocent lives every year.

This fire came just two weeks after a hotel blaze in New Delhi killed 21 people, raising fresh questions about fire safety enforcement in the country.
