Lhuan-dre Pretorius Breaks Chris Gayle’s T20 Record
Lhuan-dre Pretorius Smashes Chris Gayle’s Record With 188 Not Out
JOHANNESBURG: (Sports Desk) – South Africa’s young batting sensation Lhuan-dre Pretorius has rewritten the record books with a stunning unbeaten 188 for the Titans against the Knights in the domestic CSA T20 Challenge.
The 20-year-old left-hander produced a remarkable display of power hitting, smashing 15 fours and 13 sixes from just 79 deliveries to register the highest individual score in men’s T20 cricket.
Pretorius surpassed the previous record of 175 not out, set by former West Indies great Chris Gayle for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League in 2013.

The South African opener was on course to become the first batter to reach the 200-run mark in a T20 innings, but the Titans finished their 20 overs at 267 for three.
The record-breaking innings adds to an impressive run of form for Pretorius, who has continued to make an impact despite injury interruptions.
In his previous appearance, the left-hander smashed a 53-ball century for South Africa in a T20 international against Namibia last month, underlining his growing reputation as one of the country’s exciting young batters.
