Kaleemullah – (Staff Reporteer/Web Desk) – Pakistan’s young footballers have made history in Azerbaijan. Kaleemullah scored four goals as the Shaheens beat Tonga 6-1 at the FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026.
It was a tough start for Pakistan. Tonga won a penalty in the sixth minute, even though they had hardly created any chances. The boys were behind early, but they did not lose heart.
Kaleemullah answered quickly. He scored from the penalty spot in the seventh minute to level the match.
Pakistan then took the lead in the 13th minute. A cross from the right found Kaleemullah in open space, and he headed the ball in with ease.
The Shaheens kept pushing and pinned Tonga back. Just before the break, in first-half stoppage time, Pakistan won another penalty. Kaleemullah stepped up and scored again to complete his hat-trick.
The second half brought more joy for Pakistan. A kick-in from the left reached Kaleemullah at the far post. He jumped above the defenders and headed home for his fourth goal.
Maqbool then added a fifth with a powerful shot from distance. The Tonga goalkeeper had no chance to save it.
Mustafa finished the job with a calm, well-placed goal after a neat move down the left side. Pakistan could have scored even more, as chances kept coming.
The team showed good movement, steady pressure and sharp finishing. After the early scare, the win was complete and well deserved.
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Syed Mohsen Gilani watched the match in person. Before kick-off, he urged the players to give their very best.
After the final whistle, he praised the whole squad. He said they had become the first Pakistani team to win a match on the FIFA World Cup stage.
President Gilani also thanked the coaches and team staff for preparing the players so well. He said this generation has a great chance to learn by playing against teams from around the world.
