Harry Brook Reunites With Lahore Qalandars Owner Sameen Rana
Lahore Qalandars Recall Harry Brook’s Historic 2022 PSL Triumph
The meeting took place at a local hotel, where Rana presented Brook with commemorative souvenirs and reflected on the batter’s contribution to Lahore Qalandars’ maiden PSL title triumph in 2022.
Although Brook has not featured in the PSL since that season, the right-handed batter has established himself as a prominent international cricketer and gone on to become England’s white-ball captain.
Sharing details of the reunion, Rana said the meeting brought back fond memories of their time together.
“Four years ago, we signed a talented cricketer like Harry Brook, and he played an important role in our first historic success,” Rana said.
He described meeting the England captain again after four years as a wonderful experience, adding that they reminisced about their shared memories.
Rana further revealed that Brook described his time with Lahore Qalandars as memorable and spoke positively about his stay in Pakistan. The England captain also extended his best wishes to the franchise, which has since secured three PSL titles.
The reunion followed Brook’s recent remarks crediting his maiden PSL campaign with Lahore Qalandars in 2022 for helping him understand Pakistani playing conditions and opposition players.
Speaking ahead of the ongoing ODI tri-series, Brook said his PSL experience had helped kick-start his career and contributed to his confidence when facing Pakistan across formats.
He explained that playing alongside and against Pakistani cricketers allowed him to become familiar with local conditions and opponents, providing valuable preparation for subsequent international series.
Brook’s reunion with Rana highlighted the lasting connection between the England captain and the franchise that helped shape an important stage of his professional career.
