Imran Khan’s lawyer alleges he is being denied access to justice
Imran Khan's lawyer warns of legal action as jail officials block access to critical legal documents
Islamabad – (Web Desk) – Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, has raised serious concerns about his client being blocked from accessing justice. In a letter addressed to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, he stressed that Imran Khan’s signature on a power of attorney is urgently needed to file appeals in the Supreme Court.
Chaudhry revealed that he visited the jail on two separate occasions to obtain the former prime minister’s signature, but was turned away both times without being allowed to meet him. He expressed frustration over what he described as deliberate stalling by the jail administration, saying officials have been repeatedly dragging their feet on the matter.
The lawyer further pointed out that the indifference shown by jail officials is not just unacceptable — it is a direct violation of established jail rules. He made clear that denying a prisoner the right to meet his legal counsel goes against the most fundamental principles of justice.
He has said that the deadline set for filing an appeal in the apex court is going to expire soon. “I also want to draw the attention of IG Prisons to this matter,” he has said, adding that he has also informed the SP Police Saddar Circle about the seriousness of the matter.

The lawyer has demanded that he be allowed to meet his client within 24 hours so that he could get his signatures on legal documents.
He has warned the jail officials of legal action if he is denied access to Imran.
