Security Forces Kill 15 Militants in Balochistan Operations
Captain Hamza Akram Martyred During Operation Against Militants in Hangu
QUETTA: (Special Reporter) – Security forces have killed 15 militants during intelligence-based operations conducted across several districts of Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
The operations were carried out in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki, according to security officials.
A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operations. Officials said the actions dealt a major blow to the militant network and restricted the movement of its members.
Security forces have reiterated their resolve to continue operations under Radd-ul-Fitna 3 until the threat posed by terrorism is eliminated.
Captain Martyred During Hangu Operation
In a separate intelligence-based operation in Hangu, seven militants were killed and two others were arrested, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation was conducted in the Dallan area on August 7 after intelligence indicated the presence of militants. Security forces targeted a suspected hideout, prompting the militants to flee and take shelter in a mosque, according to the ISPR statement.
An exchange of fire followed, resulting in the deaths of seven militants and the arrest of two injured suspects. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the site.
The militants were accused of involvement in attacks against security personnel, law-enforcement agencies and civilians.
During the operation, 27-year-old Captain Hamza Akram was martyred while leading his troops. Hailing from Narowal district, the officer was at the forefront of the operation against the militants.
Security forces paid tribute to Captain Hamza Akram, saying he sacrificed his life in the line of duty while defending the country.
