Rain Brings Relief as Clouds Cover Lahore Again

LAHORE: (News Desk) – Rain and gusty winds brought relief to Lahore as overcast skies returned to the city, with the Meteorological Department forecasting further rainfall in several parts of the country.

Light to moderate showers were reported in areas including Gulberg, Model Town, Township and Green Town, while rain was also observed around Jail Road, Liberty, CBD Road and adjoining localities. The rainfall has contributed to a noticeable drop in temperatures and made the weather more pleasant.

The weather office said Lahore’s temperature is expected to remain between 28°C and 34°C, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 34°C. Winds are currently blowing at around 5 kilometres per hour.

Karachi Weather

In Karachi, partly cloudy conditions continued as residents awaited rainfall. The city is expected to remain hot and humid, with temperatures likely to reach 32°C to 34°C.

According to the weather department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 28°C, while the current temperature stood at 29°C. Humidity remained high at around 75%, with southwesterly winds blowing at approximately 16 kilometres per hour. Drizzle is possible during the night and early morning.

Islamabad and Northern Areas

Islamabad is also experiencing partly cloudy weather, with rain and thunderstorms expected in parts of the capital and surrounding areas. Temperatures in the city are forecast to reach around 33°C during the day.

The weather department has also predicted thunderstorms and rain in Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to remain partly cloudy, with rain possible at some locations.

In Islamabad, the morning temperature was recorded at around 24°C, about two degrees below normal. Daytime temperatures could rise to 33°C, while winds are expected to reach around 11 kilometres per hour. Humidity has remained above 78%.
