Mojtaba Khamenei Appears Publicly in First Video

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Appears in First Video

TEHRAN: (News Desk) – Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has made his first reported public appearance since assuming the country’s top leadership position, with a video released by the semi-official Mehr News Agency.

The footage shows Mojtaba Khamenei meeting and speaking with a delegation. He appears to be in stable condition, although the report did not provide details about when or where the video was recorded.

Mojtaba Khamenei had largely remained out of public view following reports that he was injured in an attack on February 28. He was subsequently reported to have been receiving treatment at an undisclosed location.

His limited public presence had drawn considerable attention, particularly after he was reportedly absent from the funeral of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Mojtaba Khamenei was named Iran’s new Supreme Leader in March following the death of his father, according to Iranian reports. The latest video marks his first reported appearance since taking over the position.
