Imam Rizwan NCCIA Financial Investigation Probes Suspicious Transactions

NCCIA reviews mobile phones, bank transactions and dressing room leak claims from England Test series

NCCIA – (Special Correspondent/Web Desk) – The Imam Rizwan NCCIA financial investigation has moved into a new phase, with cyber crime officials now digging deeper into the money trail linked to the two senior Pakistani cricketers.

Sources close to the matter say the probe is mainly looking at financial dealings and payments connected to both players. Officials want to know if any unusual money movement took place around the time of the ongoing Test series against England.

Bank records of both cricketers are being checked closely. Investigators are going through transactions made during this period to see if anything stands out.

If a payment looks suspicious, the team plans to trace where the money came from and where it eventually went. This includes checking any funds sent by companies, individuals or other groups.

Data pulled from the players’ mobile phones is also part of the inquiry. Officials are going through chats, saved contacts and other phone records as they try to connect the dots.

Alongside the money angle, another major concern is the possible leak of dressing room details during the England series. This has become a serious talking point within Pakistan cricket circles.

Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan showed up at the NCCIA office in Lahore on Thursday to answer questions. Their session lasted close to two hours. Both players later asked for extra time before giving their full written response.

Officials say the cricketers arrived around 3pm and were asked about several things, including who they met and talked to during practice sessions and matches in England.

So far, the NCCIA has not confirmed any wrongdoing by either player. The agency says the inquiry is still active and more details may come out soon.

This development comes right after the PCB asked a selection committee member to explain, in writing, why Rizwan and Imam were picked for Pakistan’s Test squads for the West Indies and England tours this year. That selection meeting took place back on June 2.

Fans and cricket followers are now closely watching how this case unfolds, since it touches both the financial side and the sporting reputation of two well known national players.
