IESCO changes AMI consumer billing batches across Rawalpindi city, cantt

Rawalpindi: (Web Desk) – The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has reorganized billing batch numbers for consumers using Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters in Rawalpindi City and Rawalpindi Cantt.

The move aims to ensure timely, accurate, transparent and automated meter reading, which is a key objective of the AMI project.

According to IESCO spokesperson, the changes were made under a letter issued by Chief Engineer Commercial Ghulam Sarwar from IESCO Head Office Islamabad on July 1, 2026.

Under the revised arrangement, old billing batch numbers 1 and 2 have been shifted to batch 17, batches 3 and 4 to batch 18, batches 5 and 6 to batch 19, and batches 7 and 8 to batch 20.
