KARACHI: The duration of unannounced power outage in Shahr-e-Quaid has exceeded ten hours, causing inconvenience to citizens due to load shedding in the heat.

According to the details, the people of Karachi are in the grip of the worst unannounced power outage, where the duration of load shedding has exceeded 10 hours.

The prolonged power outage in densely populated areas of the city, especially Lyari, Garden, North Karachi, New Karachi, Malir, Korangi, Landhi, Manghopir, Surjani and Orangi Town, has robbed citizens of their peace of mind during the day and sleep at night.

The most unfortunate situation is in the examination centers, where students are forced to write papers in extreme cold and heat due to power outage during the matriculation exams, which is affecting their health and performance.

On the one hand, the people of Karachi are suffering from load shedding, while on the other hand, Federal Minister for Energy Awais Khan Leghari claims that power is not being cut off in Karachi and Hyderabad.

The Energy Minister said that the gas supply has been affected due to the war situation in the Middle East, due to which the government is forced to impose load shedding.

: Apologizing for the power outage during peak hours, he said that there is no other option at present, 1440 megawatts of electricity is being generated from furnace oil to meet the fuel shortage so that the severity of the crisis can be reduced.
