Petrol Becomes Cheaper After Latest Government Fuel Price Revision

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Petroleum Division has revised the petroleum levy on petrol and high-speed diesel following the latest fuel price adjustment announced by the federal government.

According to sources within the Petroleum Ministry, the levy on petrol has been reduced by Rs9.24 per litre, lowering it from Rs117.41 to Rs108.17 per litre. On the other hand, the levy on high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs9.40 per litre, taking the rate from Rs42.60 to Rs52 per litre.

Earlier, the Petroleum Division had announced a Rs5 per litre reduction in the prices of both petrol and diesel as part of the latest fortnightly review.

After the revised adjustments, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs409.78 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now be available at Rs409.58 per litre across Pakistan.

The official notification stated that the updated fuel prices and revised levy rates came into effect nationwide from midnight.
