Security Forces Neutralize Four Militants During Failed South Waziristan Attack

Rawalpindi: (Special Reporter) – Security forces have successfully foiled an attempted attack on a check post by Fitna al-Khawarij militants in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said security forces responded swiftly and effectively, killing all four terrorists, including a suicide bomber, during the operation.

According to the ISPR, militants attempted to breach the check post using an explosives-laden vehicle. Security forces targeted and destroyed the vehicle before it could reach the facility, killing the suicide bomber inside and preventing major damage.

Case Plea Filed Against Fazlur Rehman Over Army Remarks

Following the failed attack, security personnel launched a clearance operation against the remaining militants who had taken shelter in a nearby building. All three terrorists were eliminated during the operation.

The ISPR confirmed that no security personnel were martyred or injured in the action. A further clearance operation is underway to ensure the area is completely cleared of any remaining militant presence.

The military reiterated that security forces will continue intelligence-based and targeted operations to eliminate terrorism and restore lasting peace in the region.
