FIR Filed Against PIMS Burn Centre Head for Assaulting Trainee Doctor
PIMS Doctor FIR Exposes Shocking Violence Inside Pakistan's Top Hospital
PIMS – (Web Desk) – A PIMS doctor FIR has been registered at Karachi Company Police Station in Islamabad, after the head of the burn centre at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) was accused of physically attacking a trainee doctor. Dr Muhammad Ibrahim filed the complaint, naming Dr Abdul Khaliq as the main accused in this disturbing case of workplace violence.
According to Dr Ibrahim, he was beaten by Dr Abdul Khaliq along with other staff members. The attack was so severe that an iron rod was allegedly used to cause serious injury. Eyewitnesses were present during the incident, which makes the case even stronger against the accused.
The FIR also states that Dr Ibrahim was forcefully stopped from performing his professional duties, which adds another serious layer to this case. The complainant has demanded strict legal action against Dr Abdul Khaliq and all others involved in the assault.
What makes this case even more concerning is the five-month delay in registering the FIR. Despite Dr Ibrahim’s early request, the police only moved forward after an Islamabad sessions court directly ordered them to do so. This delay raises serious questions about justice and the protection of junior doctors in Pakistan.
