Security Forces Kill 8 Terrorists in Balochistan Operation

Eight Terrorists Killed, 2.9 Tons of Explosives Recovered in Balochistan

Islamabad: (Special Reporter) – Security forces have killed eight terrorists during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kharan and Washik areas, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, the military’s media wing said the operations were conducted on September 6 and 7. In Kharan, security forces successfully foiled an attempt by terrorists to block a road and disrupt traffic.

The ISPR said eight terrorists were killed during the operations. In Washik, security forces targeted a terrorist hideout, killing three terrorists and destroying the hideout.

A major cache of explosives was also recovered during the Washik operation. According to the ISPR, around 2.9 tons of explosives were seized, which terrorists were allegedly using to prepare improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The military said a sanitization operation is currently underway to locate and eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area.

The ISPR added that under the “Resolve for Stability” framework, counter-terrorism operations against foreign-sponsored militant elements will continue with full force until the threat is eliminated.
