Kalat IBO: Forces Kill 12 India-Backed Terrorists
Subtitle: Pakistan's security forces launch a swift raid in Balochistan, wiping out a terrorist hideout tied to India-sponsored militancy.
Kalat – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – Pakistan’s security forces carried out a major Kalat IBO this week, killing twelve India-backed terrorists in Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations, known as ISPR, shared the details on Friday, saying troops acted on solid intelligence reports.
The operation took place on September 2 in Kalat district. Soldiers had learned that fighters linked to a group called Fitna al-Hindustan were hiding in the area. Once the hideout was found, forces moved in fast.
ISPR said the troops tracked the hideout, watched it closely, and then struck with a sharp, well-planned raid. All twelve militants inside were killed during the action. Soldiers also found and destroyed a stockpile of ammunition and homemade bombs at the site.
After the raid, forces began sweeping the wider area. This step, often called sanitisation, helps make sure no other fighters remain nearby. The military said this kind of mission will keep going without pause until foreign-backed terrorism is fully cleared from the region.
In a separate event, police in Balochistan stopped a large attack in Bhag city. Around forty armed men tried to storm the local police station, a bank, and the assistant commissioner’s office. They came with heavy weapons, rockets, and hand grenades.
An adviser to the Balochistan chief minister, Shahid Rind, said the attackers failed to take the police station or grab any weapons. Gunfire from the clash left two policemen and three civilians hurt. The militants also could not steal any money from the bank.
Bomb experts later found a hidden explosive device planted inside the bank. The Bomb Disposal Unit safely defused it before anyone else got hurt.
These two incidents come amid a rise in violence across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan since 2021. A recent study from the Centre for Research and Security Studies found that these two provinces made up almost all violent deaths recorded in the second quarter of 2026, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffering the most casualties overall.
