Excise department launches crackdown to improve revenue collection in Bhimber

Bhimber: (Web Desk) – In Bhimber, Deputy Commissioner Excise Circle Ali Asghar Bukhari launched major administrative action soon after taking charge by transferring 10 officials working at seven toll and excise checkpoints across the district.

According to sources, the deputy commissioner also conducted visits to several cigarette factories where he issued strict instructions aimed at improving tax collection and increasing government revenue. He emphasized that no illegal activity or negligence would be tolerated within the department.

During the inspections, officials and factory owners were warned that any attempt to interfere with tax recovery operations would result in immediate legal action. The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in excise operations.

Ali Asghar Bukhari stated that strengthening departmental transparency and boosting revenue generation remain his top priorities. He further announced that a zero-tolerance policy would be enforced against corruption, misconduct, and violations of tax regulations.
