Babar Azam Likely to Replace Shan Masood as Test Captain

Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) – Pakistan are likely to appoint Babar Azam as Test captain for the upcoming series against West Indies and England, replacing Shan Masood.
Sources said Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has approved Babar Azam’s appointment to lead the national Test side in both series.
The decision was reportedly made following concerns over Shan Masood’s captaincy record, with Babar expected to return to the role.

Several candidates were considered for the position, but the PCB chairman has reportedly finalised Babar Azam as the preferred choice.
