Security Forces Kill Over 70 Terrorists in Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: (Special Reporter) – Security forces have killed more than 70 terrorists affiliated with Fitna-ul-Khawarij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan in intelligence-based operations across various areas of Balochistan over the past few days, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the Pakistan Army’s media wing, intelligence agencies identified hideouts of the two groups in the Shaban area of Balochistan.

Acting on the intelligence, security forces launched an operation in Ziarat and surrounding areas on September 21. During the operation, troops engaged the terrorists and cleared several hideouts. Following an intense exchange of fire, 33 terrorists were killed, ISPR said, adding that the militants had posed a threat to the local population.

In another operation on September 25, security forces targeted terrorist hideouts in Nushki, killing 11 militants allegedly operating with Indian support. In Mand, six terrorists affiliated with Fitna-ul-Hindustan were also killed. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the operation, according to ISPR.

The military’s media wing said more than 70 terrorists had been killed during operations over the preceding 96 hours, describing the casualties as a major setback for Indian-backed Afghan proxies.

ISPR also alleged that the Afghan Taliban regime’s involvement in terrorism, along with Indian backing and support, poses a threat to regional peace.

The counter-terrorism campaign will continue under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam vision, ISPR said, adding that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating terrorism.
