Pakistan's Quiet Diplomacy Is Making the World Take Notice
Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received warm praise from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese this Thursday. Albanese appreciated Pakistan’s genuine efforts to bring peace to the region. Sharif took to X to share his gratitude. He promised that Pakistan will keep working hard alongside its friends and partners. The goal is simple. Lasting peace for everyone in the region.
Canada also stepped forward with a strong message of support. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand made it clear that Canada is ready to back the ongoing talks in Islamabad. This adds even more weight to Pakistan’s growing diplomatic momentum.
The support from both Australia and Canada shows that Pakistan’s peace efforts are being noticed and respected around the world.
In a post on her X handle on Thursday, she said over the last few days, she had spoken several times with her Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East, in which he shared that new negotiations will take place later this week.

Anita Anand thanked Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for Pakistan’s continued efforts including its role in helping secure the current two-week ceasefire.
The Canadian Foreign Minister said we also agreed on the need for the ceasefire to hold and extend to Lebanon, and to remain in close contact as discussions move forward.

Pakistan condemns Israeli aggression against Lebanon strongly
The Uzbek Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s leadership and conveyed his country’s full support for all initiatives undertaken by Pakistan in pursuit of peace and stability, especially in securing the initial two-week ceasefire.
Both expressed hope that these continued efforts and engagements will foster lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
