AJK Withdraws Concessions, Reactivates FIRs Against JAAC Leaders
MUZAFFARABAD: (Web Desk) – The Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government has withdrawn previously granted concessions to the Joint Awami Action Committee and decided to reactivate 177 FIRs registered against its leadership and supporters, according to reports.
Officials stated that the decision follows an earlier agreement reached between the two sides on October 4, 2025, under which all outstanding issues were to be resolved through a designated committee and in accordance with an agreed procedural framework.

The government maintained that recent protests organized by the JAAC were in violation of that agreement, arguing that the stipulated process for dispute resolution was not followed. As a result, authorities have moved to restore legal cases previously suspended under the understanding.
The development signals renewed tensions between the administration and the action committee, which has been active in mobilizing public demonstrations over various local demands. Officials emphasized that future engagement would require strict adherence to the agreed mechanism for dialogue and dispute resolution.
