ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Türkiye have expressed hope for an early and meaningful understanding among all relevant parties to promote lasting peace and stability across the region, emphasizing diplomacy, restraint, and continued engagement.

The consensus emerged during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, where both leaders reviewed the evolving regional situation.

During the discussion, the two sides underscored the importance of sustained dialogue and avoiding escalation, agreeing that diplomatic engagement remains essential for de-escalating tensions and building long-term stability. They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Both ministers further agreed to continue high-level exchanges to strengthen the multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye, which spans political, economic, and strategic cooperation.

The conversation comes amid heightened regional tensions involving the United States and Iran, where recent exchanges of strikes have further escalated instability. Reports indicate renewed military activity in the Gulf region, with strikes targeting strategic installations and air defense systems, contributing to volatility in global energy markets and increasing concerns over broader regional conflict.

In this context, Islamabad and Ankara reiterated that dialogue and restraint are the only viable pathways to de-escalation and sustainable peace, urging all stakeholders to avoid actions that could further intensify the situation.
