Pakistan & Turkey -(Web De Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu made an important PAF Chief visit Turkey this week, sitting down with top military commanders, the Defence Minister, and leading drone technology experts to push forward a stronger partnership between the two nations.
At the Turkish Air Force Headquarters, the PAF Chief received a formal guard of honour. Both sides talked openly about running more joint exercises, expanding training programmes, and increasing professional exchanges between their air forces. In a warm gesture, the Turkish Air Chief personally praised Pakistan’s role in training Turkish pilots.
The PAF Chief also met with Defence Minister Yasar Guler. Their conversation focused on the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye, built on shared values and common goals. Both sides agreed to go deeper in areas like capacity building, aerospace education, and defence collaboration.
One of the most forward-looking meetings was with Mr Selcuk Bayraktar, Chief Technology Officer of Baykar Technologies. They discussed cutting-edge drone systems, aerospace breakthroughs, and next-generation defence tools. Both sides made it clear they want to work together on the technologies that will shape tomorrow’s airpower.
This visit sends a strong message — Pakistan and Türkiye are not just old friends. They are building a modern, technology-driven partnership that is ready for the future.
