Nawaz return to Pakistan in October: Shehbaz

British High Commissioner calls on Maryam Nawaz,

London/Lahore_Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that his brother Nawaz Sharif would make a comeback in October.

The PML-N senior leadership decided after deliberations that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan in October, he told the media in London.

Flanked by Nawaz Sharif and others, Shehbaz Sharif took a swipe at the former PM Imran Khan for what he called ruining the economy and damaging diplomatic ties in his rule.

He came down hard on the chief justice for being concerned about Imran Khan and questioned where the top judge was when Nawaz and his daughter were locked up behind bars.

He added Nawaz Sharif’s name was not there in Panama papers but he was included in the investigation through a conspiracy. Fake cases were made against the Sharif family during the PTI tenure.

No action was taken against other people whose names were actually there in Panama papers, he said, adding that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan and face the law as there are no two opinions on it.

To a question, he said transparent accountability was the need of the hour and should be held across the board as without it, Pakistan could not move forward.

Shehbaz stressed that the assemblies were dissolved as per the constitution and now it is the legal and constitutional responsibility of the chief election commissioner to hold elections.

He added as a political party, the PML-N will fully facilitate the ECP for free, fair and transparent elections.

Earlier, Nawaz and Shehbaz chaired a meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Overall political situation of the country and the party affairs came under discussion during the meeting.

Nawaz Sharif issued directives to complete the organizational affairs as soon as possible. The moot deliberated upon the Nawaz Sharif’s return to the motherland. However, his return date will be finalized after taking the PDM leadership into confidence.  A special committee will be assigned the task of contacting the allies.

The PML-N will also take into confidence the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on the matter. A joint committee of allies will be formed to accord Nawaz a warm welcome to the motherland.

Party leaders suggest Nawaz Sharif land in Islamabad and reach Lahore via GT Road. On Nawaz Sharif’s return home, Maryam Nawaz will receive Nawaz Sharif at the airport. The allied parties’ leaders will welcome Nawaz on his return.

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott Friday called on Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Maryam Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind,

In the meeting matters of mutual interest were discussed and Maryam Nawaz on the occasion congratulated Jean Marriott on getting diplomatic responsibilities in Pakistan with appreciating Jean Marriott’s services in the field of counter-terrorism.

“Your appointment will strengthen the relationship between Britain and Pakistan”, said Maryam Nawaz.

She further said that Pakistanis living in Britain are playing an important role in strengthening the relations between the two countries.

In addition to further strengthening of the already developed close bilateral friendly relations between the two countries, further development of cooperation in the fields of environment, trade, IT, education and women empowerment was also discussed in the meeting.

Maryam Nawaz also appreciated and thanked the help from Britain for the education of girls and flood victims.

At the end, the British High Commissioner thanked Maryam Nawaz for expressing her good wishes.
