Momina Iqbal Vows to Fight Case Until End

LAHORE: (Showbiz Desk) – Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has vowed to continue pursuing her case, saying she believes she was wronged and has yet to receive justice.

Speaking to the media during proceedings at a Lahore sessions court, Momina questioned why appropriate action was not taken against a representative accused of harassment. She argued that anyone facing such allegations should have been suspended so they could not use their position while the matter was under investigation.

The actress also questioned those who had previously claimed to know both sides of the story, asking why they were no longer speaking about the matter.

Referring to the NCCIA report, Momina said Saqib Chadhar had been declared innocent on the basis of an application. She maintained that she would pursue the matter to the “last limit” and insisted that she still had substantial evidence to present.

Saqib Chadhar, meanwhile, told reporters that he was grateful to Allah after being cleared of what he described as false allegations. He thanked the relevant institutions for investigating the matter and said he would cooperate fully if authorities ordered another inquiry.

The latest court proceedings also saw Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Sameera, withdraw their interim bail applications following the submission of the NCCIA report.

According to the report presented before the court, the immediate arrest of the accused was not considered necessary at this stage. FIA officials informed the court that a board had been constituted and that the matter could be investigated again if required.

Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui presided over the proceedings. Saqib Chadhar was represented by lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq, who told the court that he wanted to present arguments in the case.

The lawyer added that if bail was required again, the accused would approach the court for interim relief. Momina Iqbal also attended the hearing accompanied by her lawyer, Adnan Ahsan Khan.
