KARACHI: (Staff Reporter) – Polling for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections will take place across Karachi on Sunday, August 2, with 4,897 registered voters expected to exercise their right to vote.
Election officials confirmed that all polling arrangements have been completed in the city’s seven districts to ensure a smooth and peaceful voting process.
District South has 567 registered voters, with one polling station established to facilitate voting. In District Central, 702 voters will cast their ballots at five polling stations.

District West has 924 registered voters, where two polling stations have been set up. District East records the highest number of voters at 956, with four polling stations arranged for polling.
Meanwhile, District Korangi has 621 registered voters and two polling stations, while District Malir has 170 registered voters with four polling stations established. District Keamari has 260 registered voters, and one polling station has been designated for the election.
Election authorities stated that all logistical and security preparations have been finalized to ensure polling is conducted in an orderly and peaceful manner throughout Karachi.
