Trump Warns Iran Of Major New Military Strikes

WASHINGTON: (News Desk) – US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning against Iran, saying Washington could launch further major strikes as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East. Reports from US media suggest that renewed attacks targeting Iranian infrastructure, including energy facilities, are being considered.

The conflict, which began on February 28 following US and Israeli strikes on Iran, has entered another tense phase with continued exchanges of attacks between the two sides. Trump said Iran would face severe consequences and claimed Tehran’s military capabilities had already been significantly weakened.

According to reports, Trump has directed officials to prepare possible new operations aimed at pressuring Iran to surrender. US and Israeli officials are reportedly coordinating potential strikes on oil refineries and power plants, although final approval has not been confirmed.

The developments follow Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent meeting with Trump and US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth in Washington. Some White House officials have reportedly raised concerns over expanding military action.

Meanwhile, a tanker was hit by an unidentified projectile near Oman, causing damage to its engine room but no reported casualties. The incident occurred close to the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route amid rising US-Iran tensions.

Italy has also defended its deployment of military personnel and assets to the Gulf region, stating that the mission was properly authorized and communicated. Around 400 Italian air force personnel have reportedly been stationed in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.
