ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s rising squash talent Anas Ali Shah claimed the men’s singles title at the PSA Satellite Squash Championship after a hard-fought final, while young players impressed at the 2nd Public School Hyderabad National Junior Squash Championship, showcasing the country’s growing depth in the sport.
In the PSA Satellite final, Anas Ali Shah defeated Anas Khan in a thrilling five-set encounter, winning 3-2 with scores of 11-2, 11-8, 12-10, 7-11, and 12-10 to lift the title.
In the women’s category, Sindh’s Damia Khan delivered a commanding performance to defeat Vaishnavi in straight sets, securing the championship with scores of 11-4, 12-10, and 11-7.

In the junior events, Punjab’s Abdullah Nadeem won the Boys Under-19 title after a tough match against Sindh’s Abdul Basit, taking the final 3-0 after a closely contested first set. Huzaifa Shahid of SNGPL clinched the Boys Under-15 crown by defeating Faizan Khan in straight sets, while Sindh’s M Bin Naseem secured the Boys Under-11 title with a 3-1 victory over Aban Khan.
All finals were held at the gymnasium of Public School Hyderabad under the supervision of the Sindh Squash Association.
The closing ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, along with sports officials including Iqbal Memon, Secretary of the Hyderabad Squash Association, and other dignitaries who distributed prizes among the winners.
Organizers noted that the National Junior Championship featured a total prize pool of PKR 100,000, while the PSA Satellite event carried $1,000 in prize money, reflecting growing opportunities for emerging squash players in Pakistan.
