Heavy rainfall disrupts daily life and damages crops across Pakistan

Murree Rains Bring Flooding, Cracks on Highway and Landslide Warnings

Pakistan – (Web Desk) – Heavy rain swept through various parts of Pakistan, with the popular hill station Murree and its nearby areas bearing the brunt of non-stop downpours. The relentless rainfall has thrown daily life out of gear and sparked serious safety worries among locals and visitors alike.

The situation on the ground is growing tougher by the hour. Overflowing drains are adding to the misery, while a sharp dip in temperature has made the cold even harder to bear. The wet weather has also made travelling dangerous in several spots — most worryingly at Jhikagali, where deep cracks have opened up on the main highway, putting commuters at risk.

Authorities say landslides are continuing in Kausar Colony, posing serious risks to residents and commuters. The situation has prompted the local administration to advise people against unnecessary travel to avoid potential accidents.
