WASHINGTON: The group draws for the FIFA World Cup 2026 have been announced, dividing the 48 participating teams into 12 groups. The tournament will be held next year across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with the draw ceremony taking place in the US and attended by former President Donald Trump.

Group Lineup:

  • Group A: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Play-off D qualifier

  • Group B: Canada, Qatar, Switzerland, UEFA Play-off A winner (Wales or Northern Ireland)

  • Group C: Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, Haiti

  • Group D: USA, Australia, Paraguay, UEFA Play-off C qualifier

  • Group E: Germany, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Curacao

  • Group F: Netherlands, Japan, Tunisia, UEFA Qualifier B team

  • Group G: Belgium, Iran, Egypt, New Zealand

  • Group H: Spain, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay, Cape Verde

  • Group I: France, Senegal, Norway, FIFA Play-off 2 qualifier

  • Group J: Argentina (defending champions), Austria, Algeria, Jordan

  • Group K: Portugal, Uzbekistan, Colombia, FIFA Qualifier 1 team

  • Group L: England, Croatia, Panama, Ghana

This edition of the World Cup will be the largest in history, with 48 teams participating for the first time.
