CM Ali Amin Gandapur Rejects Forceful Expulsion of Afghan Immigrants

CM Threatens Protest if NFC Award Not Announced by April

Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced on Friday that the provincial government will not forcibly expel Afghan immigrants from Pakistan. Speaking at a press conference, Gandapur clarified that the province would not send immigrants back to Afghanistan unless the Afghan government is prepared to receive them.

“The KP police will not push anyone out of their homes forcibly,” he stated, stressing that peace in the country cannot be achieved without engaging in talks with Afghanistan.

The CM also warned the federal government, saying, “If the Centre does not announce the NFC (National Finance Commission) Award by April, we will take to the streets.”
