Pakistan Gold Price Falls Amid Lower International Rates
KARACHI: (News Desk) – Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Saturday, with the rate of 24-karat gold falling by Rs500 per tola to Rs459,936, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams decreased by Rs429 to Rs394,320, while 22-karat gold for the same weight fell by Rs393 to Rs361,473.
In the international market, gold was trading at $4,375 per ounce, down $5 from the previous session.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The rate of 24-karat silver increased by Rs13 per tola to Rs6,949.
The price of 24-karat silver for 10 grams rose by Rs11 to Rs5,957, while international silver was quoted at $64.70 per ounce, showing an increase of $0.13.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said the domestic gold rates were calculated using interbank exchange rates, with 24-karat gold purity set at 999.1.
