KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a mixed trend today, with the index showing fluctuations throughout the day. The market saw a positive start in the morning, with the 100-Index rising by 469 points. However, the gains were short-lived as the index dropped by 326 points shortly after, settling at 111,703 points.
During the session, the market briefly managed to cross the 115,000-point threshold. In contrast, yesterday’s session also witnessed a surge at one point, but the index ended the day below 113,000 points.

On the currency front, the exchange rate saw a slight improvement as the value of the US dollar decreased. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar dropped by 10 paisas, reaching 278.83 PKR in the interbank market.
