10th Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Championships 2024 Underway in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The 10th Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Championships 2024 has officially kicked off at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex in Islamabad, continuing to honor the legacy of the late Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan, the mother of PTF Patron Senator Salim Saifullah Khan.

This prestigious annual tournament has drawn a large pool of talent, including some of Pakistan’s top-ranked players such as Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Muzammil Murtaza, Muhammad Abid, Barkatullah, Shahzad Khan, Yousaf Khalil, Heera Ashiq, Meheq Khokhar, Amna Ali Qayum, Sheeza Sajid, and Soha Ali. More than 200 entries have been received from across Pakistan for competitions in six categories: Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies Singles, Boys’ 18 & Under Singles, Boys’ 14 & Under Singles, and Boys’ 12 & Under Singles.

The Men’s Singles Qualifying Final Round saw intense competition, with players like Rayank Khan, Abdul Basit, Murtaza Hussain, Mujahid, M. Haziq Asim, Ahtesham Humayun, M. Yahya, M. Talha Khan, and Omer Jawad securing victories in their respective matches, earning spots in the main draw.

The main draw matches are set to begin tomorrow at 9:30 am, promising exciting tennis action as players vie for supremacy in this marquee event.
