Chairman Randhawa Highlights CDA’s Open Policy for Collaborative Urban Development

A meeting regarding the Islamabad Beautification Plan was held on Friday under the chairmanship of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa. Senior officers from relevant departments attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed on the beautification plan being implemented in the city for enhancing the beauty of Islamabad. The meeting was informed that as part of the Beautification Plan, median strips, green belts, and green areas all over the city are being improved. The meeting was further informed that work repair and maintenance and painting of curb stones along main roads of the city is in progress.
The briefing was further informed that fountains are being repaired and will be made operational under this plan. Moreover, various structures are being developed at major roads and locations to further elevate the city’s aesthetic appeal.

The plan also includes planting beautiful flowers and fruit-bearing plants in the green belts. The bus stands in Islamabad are also being upgraded on modern standards, with the addition of digital screens inside the bus stands to improve their functionality and appearance.
CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that efforts are underway to beautify all entry points into Islamabad, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
He further said that to enhance and beautify Islamabad, the expertise of architects and landscaping professionals will be utilized. In addition, all interchanges, flyovers, loops, and surrounding areas will be beautified to ensure a cohesive and attractive cityscape.
Chairman Randhawa also directed that appropriate lighting arrangements should be made on flyovers and various structures, ensuring that they are well-lit and safe, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the city at night.
The CDA is committed to transforming Islamabad into a model city through these ongoing beautification efforts.

A meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to discuss the mechanism for inviting unsolicited proposals from all stakeholders in the infrastructure development and future projects for Islamabad. The meeting was attended by CDA members and other relevant senior officers.
Chairman Randhawa stated that the CDA is functioning as a vibrant and dynamic entity that actively engages with all stakeholders for the development of Islamabad. He encouraged the business community, investors and others to share their proposals and business idea to the CDA via email, providing an opportunity to collaborate on the future projects.

During the meeting, Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that CDA is pursuing an opening up policy for development. Recently, the first ever Joint Venture Rules of CDA have been approved to facilitate the whole process. CDA now welcomes the proposals, for investment and development in Islamabad from all stakeholders.

He further added that public development initiatives and projects will commence after a thorough review of those proposals, ensuring that all processes are transparent, inclusive and open.
