Veteran Pakistani actor Abid Kashmiri has passed away.

Renowned for his remarkable contributions to television, stage, and film, Kashmiri had been battling illness for some time, according to family sources. His daughter confirmed the news of his demise.

Throughout his prolific career, Abid Kashmiri appeared in hundreds of TV dramas, stage performances, and films, earning widespread acclaim for his versatile acting. He was celebrated as a prominent figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry for his outstanding talent.

Kashmiri is survived by two sons and two daughters. Though he had settled in the U.S., he recently returned to Pakistan and made appearances on TV talk shows. His achievements include winning the Nigar Award for his comedic role in the 1988 film “Bazar-e-Husan.”
