US Security Team Lands in Islamabad Ahead of Crucial Iran Talks

Islamabad Prepares for Historic US-Iran Peace Talks as Security Tightens Across the Capital

Nur Khan Airbase – (Web Desk) – A United States military plane landed at Nur Khan Airbase on Thursday afternoon. It was carrying an American security team. Their job is to get everything ready before the main delegation arrives for the US-Iran peace talks in Islamabad.

The team will check the venue and other important spots around the city. They will also sit down with Pakistani officials to go over the arrangements. Everything needs to be in order before the senior diplomats fly in.

Pakistan is preparing to host these talks at a very important moment. The goal is to turn a temporary Gulf ceasefire into something permanent. That is no small task and the pressure on Islamabad is real.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally visited the talks venue to see the security setup for himself. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other top officials were with him. Security teams briefed the Prime Minister on how forces are being deployed across the city.

Islamabad is now on high alert. More than 5,000 personnel from the police, Rangers and intelligence agencies have been posted across the capital. The city is ready and watching closely.

The Red Zone has been sealed with containers, while snipers have been positioned on key buildings to ensure maximum security.

Hotels within the Red Zone have been prepared to accommodate visiting delegations, as Islamabad braces for the arrival of foreign dignitaries.

The United States delegation is expected to be led by Vice President JD Vance, who will head negotiations with the Iranian side.

According to officials, Pakistan is set to host the talks beginning Friday, with formal negotiations scheduled for Saturday.

The initiative follows a two-week ceasefire announced earlier this week after Pakistani mediation efforts. The truce is based on a 10-point proposal presented by Iran and accepted by Washington as a framework for dialogue.

US President Donald Trump has dispatched a high-level negotiating team, which will also include adviser Steve Witkoff and senior aide Jared Kushner. Iran’s delegation is expected to be led by Parliament Speaker Baqer Qalibaf, along with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
