Government cuts LPG price by Rs20 per kilogram
LPG price falls Rs20 as 7,000 tons arrive from Iran. A further drop of Rs50 is on the way.
Pakistan – (Web Desk) – If rising LPG costs have been weighing on your budget, here is some welcome news. The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas has been officially reduced by Rs20 per kilogram across Pakistan, bringing much-needed relief to households and businesses alike.
According to Ali Haider, Convener of the LPG Standing Committee at FPCCI, the drop in price follows a significant surge in supply. With the ceasefire in Iran and the conclusion of Eid and Nowruz holidays, trade activity has resumed in full swing — and LPG is now flowing into the country in abundance.
As soon as the border reopened, a substantial 7,000 tons of LPG were imported — a clear sign that supply constraints are easing considerably.
The fuel has been arriving through multiple border crossings, including Taftan, 250 Border, and Mand, ensuring a steady and wide-reaching supply across the region.
With the improvement in supply, the price of LPG has immediately decreased by Rs20.
A further reduction of Rs50 is expected as the supply comes into the market.
