Islamabad (Web Desk)– The UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Salem Al Zaabi, has described the current regional tensions as complex but temporary, emphasizing that the United Arab Emirates is pursuing a policy rooted in patience, tolerance, and responsibility to prevent further escalation. In an exclusive interview with senior journalists in Islamabad, he stressed that resolving these issues through diplomatic channels is both possible and necessary.
Ambassador Al Zaabi highlighted the UAE’s longstanding role in promoting global peace, stability, and trade, noting that the country remains a key partner in international business and will continue to strengthen its position among the world’s leading trade hubs. He praised the effectiveness of the Emirati defense system, noting that most Iranian missiles targeting the UAE were successfully intercepted, reflecting the nation’s preparedness and capability.

He explained that avoiding military retaliation is part of a deliberate long-term strategy aimed at maintaining regional peace. Al Zaabi expressed strong condemnation of Iran’s attacks on infrastructure, describing such actions as a threat to regional security, particularly when residential and commercial sites are targeted. He assured that once tensions subside, the UAE will swiftly resume economic and trade activities, welcoming global engagement. While noting that the UAE has historically maintained constructive relations with Iran, he described the recent attacks on infrastructure as highly concerning and dangerous for regional stability.
