Iranian officials warned that any renewed U.S. attacks would trigger a “painful and unprecedented response,” signaling a sharp escalation in rhetoric as both sides remain locked in confrontation over regional security and strategic waterways.
At the same time, U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly reviewing updated military plans presented by top commanders, including options involving limited but high-impact strikes aimed at pressuring Tehran.
Trump Orders Prolonged Blockade Strategy Against Iran
According to U.S. media reports, Trump is expected to receive a classified briefing from senior military officials, including CENTCOM leadership, on potential operations and escalation scenarios.
The situation is unfolding alongside ongoing disputes in the region, including maritime tensions and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route. Oil markets have reacted sharply to fears of further escalation.

The United Arab Emirates has banned its citizens from travelling to Iran, Lebanon and Iraq, and urged Emiratis currently in those countries to leave immediately and return home, citing regional developments, the foreign ministry said on Thursday.
