Tarar slams PTI for boycotting Pakistani products, accuses party of foreign agenda

“We have taken notice of the ongoing campaign against journalists,” said Tarar.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar launched a scathing attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday, criticizing the party’s decision to boycott Pakistani products. He suggested that it would be more appropriate for PTI to boycott Israel rather than harming local businesses.

Tarar expressed his disapproval of PTI’s stance, highlighting that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet had denounced calls for civil disobedience, praising the provincial ministers for rejecting such actions. He further accused PTI of working on a foreign agenda aimed at weakening Pakistan’s military, pointing out that the party had boycotted the All Party Conference (APC) on Palestine and had now started attacking journalists.

“We have taken notice of the ongoing campaign against journalists,” said Tarar, condemning the actions of PTI. He added that the party was attempting to spread anarchy and unrest within the country.

The minister also addressed the issue of seminaries, stressing the importance of approaching registration matters in a way that is acceptable to all parties involved. Tarar’s remarks reflect ongoing tensions between the government and PTI, as well as concerns over PTI’s political actions and their potential impact on national stability.
