Naqvi KP Governorship Remark: Political Leader “Deeply Upset” Over Missing Post

Mohsin Naqvi also questions silence over former FATA resources and calls for peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Naqvi – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – The latest Naqvi KP governorship remark has created a stir in political circles. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Friday that the head of a political party is deeply upset. He claimed the leader did not get the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governorship or a role in the governor’s rule setup.

Naqvi was talking informally to journalists in Lahore. He did not name the politician. He claimed the leader had relied on the establishment’s support for many years to stay in politics.

The minister also claimed that even the air tickets for the party were arranged by the establishment. He said such people should not point fingers at others today.

According to Naqvi, political differences should be shared through arguments and facts. He said rude language and accusations do not suit leaders.

Last Sunday, President Asif Ali Zardari imposed emergency and governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This was done on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution. The step sidelined the PTI-led provincial government.

Under the new setup, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi will run the province’s affairs on behalf of the federation. An 11-member advisory council will assist him. Parliament will use the powers of the provincial assembly.

Naqvi also questioned some leaders who now speak about resources for the former FATA districts. He asked why they stayed silent when those areas were not getting their fair share. He said the rights of these people should stay above politics.

On security, the minister said the province faces serious challenges. He asked leaders to help bring peace and end terrorism instead of adding to unrest. In his view, the province needs unity and stability, not political fighting.
