Tarar Credits Government for Reducing Inflation to Single Digit

Islamabad (Mudassar Iqbal)-Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has credited the government for reducing inflation to a single digit of 9.6% for the first time in three years. He highlighted the government’s achievements during a National Assembly session on September 2, 2024.

Tarar mentioned that the federal government provided a subsidy of 50 billion rupees to electricity consumers using up to 200 units, while Punjab gave a subsidy of 45 billion rupees for its province and the federal capital. He criticized other provinces for not following Punjab’s example in providing subsidies to their electricity consumers.

The Federal Minister also answered questions on various issues, including the establishment of NADRA centers in South Waziristan, the security situation in the country, and the government’s efforts to address gender-based crimes and child abuse. He emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing these issues and improving the overall situation in the country.
